At Keller Knapp Realty, we believe that giving back to the communities that we serve is an important part of what we do. And we’re proud to announce our partnership with Furnish with Love as we kickoff our 2022 summer fundraiser.

We were inspired by the mission of Furnish with Love. As a real estate firm, we recognize the importance of a functional and attractive space to call home. Furnish with Love transforms empty housing into uplifting homes for families coming out of homelessness. They professionally design and fully furnish nourishing, beautiful, and functional spaces that allow families to focus on each other and their futures.

How does it work? Furnish with Love works with agencies who work with homeless families to teach life skills and promote self-sufficiency. When a family completes their program and finds a place to live, the agency contacts FWL to assist the family with furnishing their home. The process starts by meeting the family to find out what they need and what they like – many families transitioning out of homelessness have only their clothes and a few personal items.

The next step is to gather donated furnishings and home décor from stores and individuals. This includes everything from beds to pillowcases, lamps to light bulbs. Volunteer designers create a furnishing plan and mood board based on donations available in the FWL warehouse.

The volunteers at FWL deliver the home furnishings, hang artwork, make beds, unpack the kitchen….and leave knowing that the new house is fully furnished with what each family needs to make a new start.

Keller Knapp Realty will be sponsoring the next Furnish with Love project, targeted for completion on June 24, 2022. Our goal is to raise $3,500 between our kickoff April 26th and June 24th, the day FWL will furnish the home. Our agents, staff and brokers are pleased to support this tremendous project and we will all be assisting in the fundraising campaign.
