Here at Red Robin, we’ve been eagerly watching as the market develops along the Beltline’s Westside Trail. This is a super hot area for investors, and savvy buyers are taking notice of the charming and reasonably priced (at least for a little longer) homes.
Westview has long been on the radar as a neighborhood to watch — cute historic homes, nestled along the Beltline and Westview Cemetery. Now, we are one step closer to adding an expanded Enota Park to the mix, which will certainly be a highlight of the neighborhood.
In December 2010, the Atlanta City Council approved the Master Plan for Enota Park. Last week, Atlanta Beltline Inc called for firms to submit design plans for the park expansion. (Proposals are due by October 30). Currently, the park is 1/3 acre, but the expansion will include more than 8 acres. Ideas for the park include an event lawn, splash pad, walking trails and a public entrance to the Beltline Westside Trail.
The park will be bordered by I-20, the Beltline Westside Trail, Lucille Ave and Enota Place. View the Master Plan.
Opposite the park, just across the Westside Trail, along Langhorn Street is a plan for 3 multi-family residential develoments. It will be interesting to see if these residential units include Affordable (Workforce) Housing — something that has been quite the controversy with developments along the Beltline.
