HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION INSTRUCTIONS
Whether you just bought your home or you have owned your home for 100 years, you should check to make sure you are receiving the homestead exemption in both your city and your county. Homestead exemptions decrease the cost of living for owner-occupied homes quite significantly by reducing your property taxes to a fraction of what you would owe otherwise. Check through this list of counties and cities to find how to apply for any relevant homestead exemptions.
