Atlanta REALTORS® Market Brief Report: October 2018

October sales numbers down from last year yet prices still on the rise.

 

The Atlanta REALTORS® market report for October 2018 shows that residential home sales in metro-Atlanta are down 2.9% from last October for a total of 4,448.

The median and average sales prices, however, continue with positive gains compared to October 2017. Median price up 9.1% to $263,000 and average prices comes in at $324,000, a 6.9% increase.

Supply totals also show increase compared to last year and last month.  Inventory increased 5.3% from October, 2107 for a total of 14,947 units. New listings accounted for 4,962 units which is a 2.7% increase from September 2018 and a 12.7% increase from last year.
